About the Role:

The Software Engineer will join an experienced R&D team working on performance-critical blockchain systems. You will develop backend components, improve system efficiency and reliability, troubleshoot production behavior, and work with data to identify opportunities for optimization. Over time, you will take ownership of increasingly complex parts of the platform and contribute to its technical evolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-performance components for processing blockchain transaction data.
• Improve the reliability and performance of production systems operating under real-time load.
• Build and enhance monitoring, telemetry, and analytics capabilities.
• Investigate production issues, performance bottlenecks, and unexpected system behavior.
• Use production data to evaluate engineering changes and validate hypotheses.
• Design and run controlled experiments to measure the impact of system improvements.
• Optimize concurrent data-processing pipelines for throughput and latency.
• Develop automated tests to prevent regressions and improve overall system stability.
• Contribute to new protocol-level and blockchain infrastructure capabilities.

Required Competence and Skills:

• 2-4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Commercial experience working with blockchain technologies.
• Experience with blockchain protocols and decentralized systems.
• Strong programming skills in Rust, Go, C++, Java, or another systems-oriented language.
• Understanding of concurrent, distributed, or performance-sensitive systems.
• Experience working with production systems and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Good SQL skills and experience using data to investigate system behavior.
• Familiarity with Python for scripting, tooling, or data analysis.
• Strong engineering practices, including automated testing and production monitoring.
• Analytical and data-driven approach to problem solving.

Nice to Have:

• Experience building high-performance backend or infrastructure systems.
• Deeper knowledge of blockchain architecture and decentralized technologies.
• Experience with high-throughput or low-latency systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-native environments.
