Senior NLP Data Scientist.

We are looking for a Senior NLP Data Scientist to join our Melingo team. 

Melingo AI, a subsidiary of Britannica, is a leading company for AI solutions based on natural language processing (NLP).

Melingo’s products include unique enterprise solutions for data retrieval insights, smart search engines, online dictionaries, and text-to-speech (TTS). Melingo also markets unique enterprise solutions worldwide in computational linguistics in various languages.

Melingo’s main areas of activity: speech technology, online dictionaries and various tools based on these dictionaries; advanced search engines based on morphological analysis, natural language queries, automated tagging, characterization/specification and routing of texts; smart text analysis according to customers’ needs in various languages.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting research using various NLP techniques
• Apply NLP techniques and statistical analysis to extract and validate data
• Propose new ideas and directions of research, improvements, technical decisions and best practices.
• Sharing deep knowledge and expertise with team members to improve existing models
• Fully cover (develop, maintain and monitor) the entire lifecycle of created models
• Working on data science pipelines
• Share knowledge, ideas and new approaches with team members
• Stay up to date with the latest findings in applied data science

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience developing software for production systems and/or internal infrastructure/tools
• Extensive knowledge of Python
• Experience working in Linux
• Experience in NLP related Deep Learning (utilizing standard frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, etc…)
• Experience in text related neural network optimization (DeepSpeed, quantization, graph compilation, CUDA)
• Prior experience in working with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience in MLOps tools, data pipelines or data engineering
• High level of English
• Experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering – an advantage
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent experience
