About the Role:

As a Senior iOS Engineer on the rider-focused mobile team, you will own key components of a large-scale, user-facing application that millions of riders rely on to plan and complete journeys. You will collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to architect and implement new features, strengthen the mobile infrastructure services, and lead the evolution of UI and automation testing frameworks across platforms. The role requires end-to-end responsibility – from initial design through post-release maintenance – and provides opportunities to mentor peers, influence technical standards, and tackle critical production incidents in a dynamic environment. This position offers autonomy, deep technical challenges in performance and concurrency, and direct impact on both user satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver new rider-facing features in Swift using SwiftUI and UIKit.
• Architect and maintain core mobile infrastructure services that power the iOS application.
• Implement and evolve a multi-platform UI and automation testing infrastructure to ensure consistent quality and performance.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and real-time location services to support booking, tracking, and account management workflows.
• Optimize application performance, manage memory, and debug complex issues in production environments.
• Leverage concurrency models (async-await, GCD, Operation Queues) for efficient background processing and smooth UI responsiveness.
• Rapidly diagnose and resolve critical production incidents.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce coding standards, and improve tooling to maintain high code quality.
• Mentor and guide engineers, sharing best practices in architecture, testing, and performance optimization.

Required Competence and Skills:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in iOS application development with a production-grade codebase.
• Expertise in Swift, with deep familiarity with SwiftUI and UIKit frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of mobile architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, MVP) and best practices in modular design.
• Proven experience integrating and consuming RESTful APIs and handling offline data scenarios.
• Demonstrated skills in profiling, performance tuning, memory management, and instrumentation tools.
• Proficiency with concurrency mechanisms in iOS: async-await, Grand Central Dispatch, and Operation Queues.
• Experience working on large, long-lived applications involving multiple engineers and rapid iterations.
• Excellent debugging skills and the ability to analyze and resolve critical issues under pressure.
• Strong communication skills in English and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Track record of mentoring or providing technical leadership within an engineering team.

Advantage:
