About the Product:

We are developing a security and asset management platform for private cellular networks used by industrial operators and critical-infrastructure providers. The product enables device discovery, tracking, zero-trust segmentation, threat prevention and detailed telemetry across both cloud-hosted and air-gapped on-premise deployments. It is designed to secure wireless connectivity for factory vehicles, smart meters and other IoT endpoints at scale, processing high volumes of data in real time. Engineers tackle challenges in distributed systems, large-scale databases, containerized deployments and domain-specific network security to deliver reliable, high-performance services. Strong engineering expertise is essential to maintain stability, optimize performance and drive ongoing innovation in a complex, regulated environment.

About the Role:

As a Backend Software Engineer on our remote R&D team, you will own end-to-end feature development of the core product. You will collaborate with system architects, solution engineers and product stakeholders to design, implement and deploy new services in Go. Your work will span prototyping solutions to complex wireless-security challenges, refining microservices for scalability and stability, and integrating with data stores and messaging systems. This long-term position offers high autonomy, deep ownership and a remote-first culture that values asynchronous communication and thorough documentation. You will influence architecture decisions, mentor peers and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain backend microservices in Go for security, asset tracking and management functions.
• Research and prototype solutions to complex challenges in private cellular network security and device behavior analysis.
• Collaborate with architects, solution engineers and product managers to refine system architecture and feature requirements.
• Ensure high performance, reliability and stability under large-scale, real-time network loads.
• Integrate with large-scale databases (relational and graph) and message brokers to process and store telemetry data.
• Deploy and operate services on Kubernetes and AWS, handling both cloud and fully air-gapped on-premise environments.
• Document designs, APIs and operational procedures to support asynchronous team collaboration.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions; mentor junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in distributed, event-driven systems.

Required Competence and Skills:

• 5+ years of experience developing and operating backend systems.
• Strong knowledge, experience and proficiency with Go programming language.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with large-scale databases such as PostgreSQL and Neo4j.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud design patterns.
• Experience in developing distributed, event-driven systems.
• Broad knowledge of container ecosystem and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Proficiency in REST API, gRPC and message brokers (Kafka, NATS).
• Background in cybersecurity, Linux and networking concepts.
