About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join an experienced engineering team working on one of the core areas of the product. This is a hands-on engineering role with a high level of ownership. You will be involved throughout the development lifecycle — from understanding requirements and designing solutions to implementation, testing, delivery, and ongoing improvements. You will work on technically challenging features, contribute to architectural decisions, improve existing functionality, and help maintain a high engineering standard across the product. The role is well suited to an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, taking ownership of solutions, and working closely with other experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software using modern C++.
• Develop new product functionality and improve existing solutions.
• Take ownership of features throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Design clean and maintainable technical solutions for complex engineering requirements.
• Investigate and resolve complex software issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and overall product quality.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Write automated tests and ensure appropriate test coverage for implemented functionality.
• Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.
• Improve development workflows, build processes, and engineering automation.
• Work closely with other engineers and technical stakeholders throughout the development process.
• Maintain clear technical documentation where required.
• Use modern AI-assisted development tools to support coding, debugging, research, and other engineering activities.
• Participate in troubleshooting and technical problem-solving when needed.

Required Competence and Skills:

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in modern C++ (C++11/14/17 or newer).
• Proven experience developing production-grade software.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and object-oriented design principles.
• Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and memory management.
• Experience diagnosing complex software issues and identifying root causes.
• Good understanding of software performance and optimization techniques.
• Experience with modern build systems, testing practices, version control, and development automation.
• Strong understanding of software quality, maintainability, and engineering best practices.
• Experience working throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience using modern AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day engineering work.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a distributed engineering team.

• Experience with programming languages in addition to C++.
• Experience working on large or technically complex software products.
