About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive, innovative, and responsible Big Data DBA with extensive knowledge and experience with Vertica or Redshift. Join our high-performance team to work with cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic and agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, improve, and build product’s data lake and infrastructure;
- Develop and adopt new tools to enhance and optimize data store performance and business logic;
- Collaborate with developers to ensure data efficiency, reliability, and best practices;
- Research and suggest new data store technologies and architecture.
Required Competence and Skills:
- 2+ years of experience managing Vertica or Redshift;
- 3+ years of experience managing databases: MySQL/MariaDB;
- Understanding of core data structure and database concepts;
- Proven experience in monitoring, optimizing, and problem-solving of production-grade databases;
- Experience with ETL tools and processes;
- 3+ years of extensive experience with SQL programming and SQL performance enhancements for large-scale databases;
- 2+ years of experience working with a Linux environment writing scripts in Python.
Advantages:
- Production experience with Public Cloud and container orchestration systems;
- Experience managing NoSQL databases: OpenSearch/Redis;
- Knowledge of CI/CD (e.g. Azure DevOps);
- Knowledge of Kubernetes;
- Experience with event streaming and messaging platforms such as Pulsar, Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
